Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Introduction

Every October we observe Global Diversity Awareness Month. The month brings an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the various cultures that surround us and appreciate how a multicultural society is strengthened through its diversity. Global Diversity Awareness Month is also a good time to promote inclusion in our environment and recognize the array of differences assorted cultures bring to a community, workplace, and society.

Diversity...

  • prepares one to work in a global society
  • increases knowledge
  • prepares one for career success
  • enriches social development
  • enhances self-awareness

Take part in recognizing Global Diversity Awareness Month by exploring and experiencing new views and ideas, learn about a new culture, and appreciate cultural differences.
