Exhibit - "Book Scandal of 1919": Navigating the Exhibit

The State Library Commission, the Board of Administration, the North Dakota Legislative Assembly, the political battle between the Nonpartisan League (NPL) and the Independent Voters Association (IVA), and the book scandal of 1919.

Navigating the Exhibit

The primary way to navigate the exhibit is to start on the first page under "The Story" tab and then progress through each sub-page sequentially. On each page under "The Story" tab, there will be "Next" and "Previous" buttons at the bottom of the page to assist with navigation.

Supplements:

  • The "Timeline" page/ tab is a supplement to the main story for the exhibit, and it provides another way to experience the story and events (in chronological order). The Timeline may feature additional images from the main exhibit ("The Story"), but it is typically a more condensed version of the story.
  • The "Key Figures" page/ tab is another supplement to the main story for the exhibit. It provides a list of key figures (organized by entity), a list of key figures (organized alphabetically), and a list of select biographies. Major and minor figures from the story may be listed, but not all individuals will have a biography.
