Wikipedia is a free online encyclopedia, created and edited by volunteers around the world. Wikimedia Commons is a collection of millions of freely usable media files to which anyone can contribute. Both are hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation.
Digital Initiatives will occasionally contribute content in the public domain or items without copyright restrictions from its digital collections to Wikimedia Commons. The uploaded items will then be inserted into applicable Wikipedia articles. Digital Initiatives will also occasionally add content and/or submit edits to Wikipedia articles that relate to North Dakota history.
